about me

My name is Amar Roustm, a 22-year-old footballer born on April 27, 2003, in Dubai, originally from Syria. My football journey started at age 15 with Gulf United FC, a club that competed in the DAFL amateur league at the time. I quickly broke into the first team in my first season — though the matches were unofficial, the experience was real and formative.

The following year, Gulf United entered the UAE’s professional football pyramid, starting in the UAE 3rd Division. At just 17, I was promoted to the first team and trained exclusively with them, becoming one of the youngest players to feature in the league. Though minutes were limited, I was a consistent part of the matchday squad. That season, we finished undefeated and promoted.

Our momentum didn’t stop there. At 18, I remained a first-team player as we won back-to-back titles, promoting again — this time to the UAE 1st Division. Throughout those seasons, I had the chance to face clubs with players who had experience in the UEFA Champions League and Europa League, gaining crucial exposure to high-level football. After helping Gulf United rise through the ranks, I moved to Berlin to pursue higher education and continue my football career. I trained with a German 4th-tier side for two months — narrowly missing a contract but pushing the staff to a tough decision. From there, I played a few official matches in the 7th tier before being called up by a 6th-tier Berlin Liga team. Despite setbacks from injuries, I used the time to regain my rhythm, playing a few matches with Novi Pazar in the Landesliga. Strong performances earned me attention from Brandenburgliga clubs and trial opportunities in the NOFV-Oberliga, two levels above. Football has taken me across countries, leagues, and mental battles. I’ve grown through every challenge and continue to chase my ambition: to play professionally at the highest level possible. The story is far from over.
